Academia
A free WordPress block theme for teaching institutions. It gives you a course catalogue visitors can filter, search and sort without a page reload, instructor profiles, week-by-week curriculum outlines, admissions steps and enrolment pricing — and six starter sites to begin from.
It is a block theme, so everything you see is editable in Appearance → Editor: no theme options screen, no page builder, no shortcodes to learn.

- Getting started — install it, and get a working site in about five minutes.
- Starter sites — the six looks, and what each one builds.
- Courses & the library — how courses work, with or without our plugin.
- Using your own LMS — Tutor, LifterLMS, Sensei and LearnDash.
What makes it different
Courses do not need our plugin. Academia reads them from whatever your site already has: the free Academia Library plugin, one of four LMS plugins, or plain posts. One card design covers all of them. See Courses & the library.
The course browser works without JavaScript. The server renders the finished, correct result for whatever is in the address bar; the JavaScript only removes the page load. With scripts blocked, filtering, sorting and pagination all still work.
Your courses are not hostages. The Course content type belongs to the plugin, not the theme, so changing theme leaves your catalogue intact and editable.
Contrast is checked, not claimed. Every text and control colour meets WCAG AA in both the light and dark schemes, measured rather than eyeballed.
